Sorry for it taking so long, but now we're finally at that point.
I want to address something which some of you may be wondering about, what happened with mutio and the proposed merger.
We agreed to a merger last year, in September. However, as time went by, we realized that our original agreement did not anticipate all the possible new developments. We were presented with new choices that we can were not able to come to a unanimous decision on.
And that's why the merger was called off.
Actually, hmm, my statement didn't add much to what mutio already said.
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the new site. We will be bringing exciting new developments soon.

Seems like I had this account since earlier, don't remember it at all though. ^^
Keep up the good work! Looking forward to new features on the site.
1) Does the Projects section allow OEL (Original English Language) visual novel projects or just translation projects?
2) Along the same lines, do you include OEL VNs in the database like VNDB? How about Japanese doujin visual novels?
3) If/when we get to make our own visual novel lists, will there be some way to separate the items into mini-lists or make public comments next to them? One of the problems that I have with VNDB is that all of the commercial, doujin, and OEL games are on the same list, so the ratings get confusing (i.e. I can't say that a doujin game is an 8/10 compared to other doujins - it would automatically be compared with commercial products).
Lastly, I think it might be worth considering not putting NSFW images on the banner. I'm all for eroge, of course, but the possibility of seeing NSFW pictures on the home page would make it difficult to access the site from anywhere other than home. Also, Google Reader couldn't find an RSS feed for the main page, so that might be a problem.
1) The projects section is good for anything, feel free to use it for OEL.
2) OEL VNs are being included, yes.
3) Well right now you can add VNs to a 'have list' and a 'wish list'. You can sort the VNs in the order in which you like them, they're not automatically sorted. So you can put the doujins above the commercial games if you like but still give it a comparatively lower score.
Right now that's no public comments on lists, but I'll definitely implement that, great suggestion.
There's also no support for custom lists atm, it's an interesting idea, but since it's probably quite complicated there are other features which take precedence.
4) If I understand what you mean, you are saying the coverflow should not include nsfw covers. I copy that, and I agree. I'll remove them. I'm also interested in hearing people's opinions on what counts as NSFW.
Reika Mesuinu Choukyou is clearly NSFW. But what about
2 x 4! -Hitotsu Yane no Shita de-. To me that sort of suggestiveness is NSFW.
I added an RSS feed.
Thanks for the feedback, more is welcomed.
You answered my other questions quite well and I can definitely say that I like where this is going. I guess my only "complaint" was the possibility of the social networking angle overtaking the database angle of the site. I actually enjoy social networking sites more than some anime fans, but it would be counterproductive if you offer things like microblogging and relationship status before working toward, say, building a database of games and creators like Erogamescape. Of course, I'm sure you realize this, and both dimensions can work hand-in-hand if they're both done well. Good luck
